The 27th Chief was the first Chief to share his home with the public by opening it for charitable purposes two days a week in 1933.

Since then the number of visitors has risen from a few hundred to tens of thousands. Despite such numbers crowding into so small a space, we hope and want to maintain this atmosphere of a family home, while sharing with you our love for Dunvegan’s unique possessions of beauty and interest.
