We are looking for enthusiastic and customer focused people to join our existing team and ensure that our 167,000 plus visitors receive a warm Highland welcome this season. You will be a team player, enjoy working in a busy environment and take pride in maintaining high standards of customer service at all times.

Maintenance

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic team player to join our maintenance team at the MacLeod Estate on a fulltime basis. Always calm under pressure, we expect you to be self-motivated, a good communicator and to deliver results with energy complemented by a sense of humour.

In terms of the skill set required for this position, we are looking for a multi-skilled handyman with a working knowledge of timber carcassing, cladding, first fix carpentry, manual wet trades, stonework and block laying. Rendering and plastering as well as working knowledge of traditional lime mortars is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.

A can do attitude, strong work ethic and clean driving license are essential. Any marine related experience in either handling or maintaining craft and engines would be ideal.

Groundsman

This full-time post requires someone with common sense and experience in all aspects of garden maintenance and hard landscaping work to join the existing team and assist the Head Gardener with the upkeep of the castle gardens and the grounds of Dunvegan Castle’s Holiday Cottages.

With an ability to drive and maintain a wide range of garden machinery, tools and vehicles, the postholder must be fully capable of undertaking physically demanding manual tasks in all weathers. Working as part of a five strong garden team, there are no line management responsibilities associated with this post. The Garden dept. has a Head Gardener and Assistant Head Gardener who you shall report to.
