Dunvegan Castle & Gardens is an iconic part of Scotland’s heritage and centrepiece of the 42,000 acre MacLeod Estate on the Isle of Skye. As the ancestral home of the Chiefs of clan MacLeod for 800 years, Dunvegan is an award winning 5* visitor attraction acting as a magnet for over 140,000 visitors each year.
Since 2008, the estate has made major capital investments in the castle gardens with extensive re-landscaping works and new design features which have built up its budding reputation as one of the most important gardens in the Highland region.
We are looking for a highly experienced horticulturalist with the ability to further enhance the five acres of formal garden policies at castle gardens with a hands-on management style and the ability to lead a dedicated team working in all weathers in a very exposed remote location. The successful candidate will relish a challenge, be a team player and have a proven track record of successfully managing gardens of some distinction.
