An Evening of Stories and Songs at Dunvegan Castle & Gardens with The Hebridean Baker
Dunvegan Castle & Gardens was the setting for a memorable evening on June 7th, as guests came together for The Scottish Gathering, an event headlined by the celebrated Hebridean Baker, Coinneach MacLeod. Held in the castle’s historic dining room, the evening was filled with storytelling, singing with the audience, and the unmistakable warmth of Highland hospitality.
Coinneach captivated a packed room with his signature blend of humour and Hebridean charm. His engaging tales were interwoven with songs and shared laughter, accompanied by generous pours of whisky and gin that helped set a convivial tone throughout the night.
A very special thank you goes to Suzy Lee of Radio Skye, who stepped in as co-host at short notice after Shona MacLeod, Blender at Isle of Harris Distillery, was unable to attend due to ferry disruptions. While Shona’s presence was greatly missed, Suzy brought a wonderful energy and poise that helped make the evening a resounding success.
Thanks are also due to the Isle of Harris Distillery for their generous supply of drams, which were warmly received by guests and added to the festive atmosphere.
The Dunvegan Castle & Gardens team is grateful to all who supported the event and looks forward to welcoming Coinneach MacLeod back in the near future.
