Seasonal Vacancies

We are looking for enthusiastic and customer focused people to join our existing team and ensure that our 168,000 plus visitors receive a warm Highland welcome this season. Seal Boat Assistant

We are looking for a customer friendly assistant to join our existing team at one of our most popular and busy visitor attractions at Dunvegan. This job is to assist our visitors embark and disembark from the seal boats and organise their life jackets from 11am until 3pm each day. Training will be provided.

Visitor Facilities Cleaner

We require some extra help to keep our visitor areas spotlessly throughout the season. Applicants must have very high standards and preferably be able to accommodate part-time working seven days per week

Maintenance & Marine

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic team player to join our maintenance and marine team at the MacLeod Estate on a fulltime basis. Always calm under pressure, we expect you to be self-motivated, be a good communicator and to deliver results with energy complemented by a sense of humour. A can-do attitude, strong work ethic and clean driving license are essential.

In terms of the skill set required for this position, we are looking for a multi-skilled handyman with a working knowledge of timber carcassing, cladding, first fix carpentry, manual wet trades, stonework and block laying. Rendering and plastering as well as working knowledge of traditional lime mortars is desirable but not essential. On the marine side, we require a Boat Master Grade 3 or Powerboat Level 2 with commercial endorsement for sailing with passengers. If you do not hold any of the above qualifications, the MacLeod Estate will offer training.

Estate Office Administrator

As the ancestral home of the Chiefs of clan MacLeod for 800 years, Dunvegan is an award winning 5* tourist attraction and key driver of economic growth in the region, acting as a magnet for over 168,000 visitors every year.

We are looking for a full-time Estate Office Administrator to join the estate team and act as a first point of contact for the high volume of enquiries our busy estate office receives, in addition to being responsible for a diverse range of administrative duties. You will be a highly organised and self-motivated team player with the ability to handle multiple tasks and problem solve under pressure. Gardener

This full-time post requires an experienced gardener with common sense and a practical approach in all aspects of horticulture to join the existing team and assist the Head Gardener with the development of this garden of national importance. A sound knowledge of plants with the ability to operate a wide range of garden plant and machinery and the desire to undertake physically demanding manual tasks in all weathers using their own initiative and working as part of a team.
