    This week, we were pleased to announce the completion of tree felling along the Two Churches Walk due to Phytophthora ramorum. In its place, the MacLeod Estate has improved access by adding a new footpath, better drainage, and expanding the car park at Duirinish Church.     As part of this year's Skye Bridge 30th anniversary celebrations, we were thrilled to welcome Skye Bridge Theatre to Dunvegan Castle & Gardens for a truly special event on Saturday, 26th April. Visitors gathered in the Garden Museum, nestled within the Walled Garden, to see The Tales of the Last Ferryman — a powerful and moving performance inspired by real events, legends, and myths, all masterfully woven into a beautifully conceived story. Brought vividly to life by the brilliant actor Llion Williams, the play captivated our visitors during two performances at 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM....

    Themed “What represents your community?”, the competition invited schools to explore and celebrate the identity of their local area. Each egg offered a unique glimpse into the heritage, landscapes, and values of the island’s diverse communities — from dramatic natural features to cultural traditions and everyday village life. Visitors from near and far were invited to vote for their favourite design, and with over 600 votes cast, Carbost Primary and Nursery emerged as the clear winner....
