Hamish McHaggis is heading to Dunvegan Castle & Gardens!

We’re inviting families and young explorers to join us at Dunvegan Castle & Gardens for a day of storytelling, adventure, and hands-on fun as we celebrate 20 years of Hamish McHaggis, the much-loved Scottish children’s book series by Linda Strachan and Sally J. Collins.

Discover the charming tales of Hamish and his friends as they explore Scotland’s most iconic places — all the way to the historic setting of Dunvegan Castle & Gardens on the Isle of Skye!

On the day, little adventurers can:

✔️ Explore castle & garden spots linked to Hamish’s world.
✔️ Get creative with themed arts & crafts.
✔️ Follow special garden trails and join the scavenger hunt.
✔️ Collect their very own Hamish McHaggis passport to mark the occasion.
